This class of primary school learners of English (9-10 years old) is starting a session on the topic of weather and seasons. In this whole-class introductory activity;the teacher reads out the months of the year and asks volonteers to give the correct season;indicated by trees with different foliage. She then drags the month label to the correct season;and has the learners repeat the sentences: October is in autumn.”
