Description

This study aimed to develop an attitude scale toward interactive whiteboard use in educational settings.

A sequential exploratory mixed model was followed throughout the data gathering and analyses periods.

The data obtained from 233 students (of which 45.9 % females and 54.1 % males with a 13.6 average of years) attending

6th and 7th grades of a primary school in Kırıkkale was exploited to determine the psychometric

features of the interactive whiteboard attitude scale. The exploratory factor analyses revealed that

the scale involves 24 items within three factors. The explained variance was calculated as 47.95%.

The results of a further confirmatory factor analysis pointed out that the good fit indexes of the

scale is in accordance with the model (X2/sd: 2.01; GFI .94, AGFI .92, CFI .95, NFI .91, NNFI .95;

RMR .06 and RMSEA.06). The results of the exploratory and confirmatory factor analyses revealed

that the interactive whiteboard attitude scale is eligible to measure attitudes of 6th and 7th graders 44

toward interactive whiteboard use in education. The findings were elaborated within the scope of

the previous research.
