Description

This activity took place in the context of a grammar lesson requiring learners to say what they liked and disliked using the third person. The teacher used the split screen tool on the IWB with the right hand side displaying sentences in Welsh to describe what a celebrity likes and dislikes. The hide and reveal tool is used to reveal one sentence at a time. The other side of the screen has an image of the celebrity;but a white pen has been used to conceal the image. The image has also been divided into square sections so the learners can reveal a section of the image at a time. An individual learner was chosen to rub away one square to reveal part of the image each time a sentence was correctly spoken and translated into English. The whole class had to use the clues from each sentence to uncover the celebrity’s identity.
