Description

This activity took place in the context of a lesson on learning the vocabulary for different names of food. This extract is taken from the first activity of the lesson where the whole class are learning new vocabulary. The activity requires learners to drill vocabulary by looking at the image and associated word;listening to the unfamiliar voice pronounce the food in Welsh and repeating the spoken word. The images change automatically at a steady pace. Half way through the activity;when the learners have gone through all the vocabulary;the teacher asks them to repeat the word after they hear the sound;but in English instead of Welsh.
